It’s time to use your Q4 Promoted Listings credit (get details at http://www.ebay.com/PromotedListings). When it comes to holiday shopping, a new eBay study found that 45% of Americans start their holiday shopping well before Black Friday. They also found that choice and convenience are the biggest reasons shoppers start shopping sooner in the season, so eBay is making “First Minute” shopping easy and rewarding with new early deals, fast delivery and price matching.
Exclusive First Minute deals include some of the hottest holiday gifts, from top brands like Adidas, Dyson, Mattel, KitchenAid and more. The recent launch of eBay’s new Guaranteed Delivery program means that delivery in three days or less will be offered on millions of items.
In addition, Bay’s Price Match Guarantee on more than 50,000 deals will ensure that shoppers get the best value on top gifts across all categories, because all season long, eBay will match the best price from competitors — including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Best Buy and more —even on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, when many other retailers won’t match prices.
Says Suzy Deering, eBay’s Chief Marketing Officer for North America, “There’s simply no reason to wait for Black Friday to find the best prices or top gifts this holiday season when shoppers can start and finish early with eBay!”
Ron, Birmingham AL (oilerman21), called in to further discuss the Performance page in Seller Hub. Griff shared strategies for using Promotions Manager and Promoted Listings. Forrest, Lakewood WA (hulkhauler1), asked about the Global Shipping Program (GSP).
Lee told Griff about eBay’s First Minute Deals and Price Matching Guarantee and reminded listeners that Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday are just 3 short weeks away. Sylvia, Springfield,OR (redleader98), answered Griff’s musical trivia question and won a $25 gift certificate for shipping supplies from Bubblefast (http://www.bubblefast.com).
The dust has cleared, and Cyber Monday 2016 stats are in. According to the eBay Inc. blog (http://www.ebayinc.com), here’s what was hot:
Peak shopping time for desktop shoppers was 12 noon PST, while for mobile users and overall, peak shopping time was — as in 2015 — 7pm PST.
Keep this useful information in mind when you plan your 2017 holiday sales campaign.
On his own while Lee is in Florida meeting her great-grandchildren, Griff shared Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday statistics. Debbie, Vacaville CA (thebookkiosk), called in to audition for Lee’s co-host spot. Edie, Santa Monica CA (dress_to_suit), mixed up 2 items when she shipped them; what to do?
First-time listener and caller Katt, Pittsburg CA (barekatt), detailed her listing routine and also asked about using certain eBay-restricted keywords in her title. Meshell Long from Doba (http://www.doba.com) called in with this week’s dropshipping report. Katt called back with the answer to Lee’s first ecommerce trivia question.
