Several of our eBay Radio team members have suffered losses and trauma during the past 13 years. There’s nothing unusual about that. We always say, “Boy, we should have had a manual showing us what that person did, so we can do their job when they’re out.” We sorta do, but not good enough.
When you have an employee with a loved one in ICU, and they are the one who pulled certain switches, and no one can figure out what to do — well, you see what I mean. So for every helper you have, make sure you have a detailed outline of their duties, including passwords and logins. It will cause less anxiety when unfortunate times come to pass.
