You mailed your item within your stated handling time, but the package was late due to a postal glitch. What would you do? Some sellers would say, “Well, it’s not my fault, it was the postal service.” But Griff gave us all some good advice at a recent Surf’s Up eBay San Diego Sellers Group meetup: Be proactive. Watch the tracking information for your sold items. If you see a glitch, immediately contact the buyer, before they have a chance to be upset. Let them know that you are checking the tracking information and it looks as if the postal service is slow. Assure them that you are keeping track, and no matter what, you will make it good. This way, your customer will feel confident that you are on top of it and be less likely to give you grief!
