We all have good days and bad days. Call it hormones, the blues, when bad things happen to good people — whatever. It doesn’t even matter what causes it. Few people have perpetually good days. Make some simple changes on those bad days to help get you through. For instance, exercise! It’s a wonderful way to get rid of the blues, even if you just walk once around the block. If you usually take a shower in the morning, try switching to a bubble bath, and relax before your day starts. Stop your work a few times during the day, turn the phone to silence, then take a 15 to 20 minute break with a cup of tea and a book, or whatever you do to relax — even watch a mindless TV program. The secret is to recognize that you’re having a bad day, and be kind to yourself. It helps!
